Overview

Reporting to the VP of Communications, the Marketing & Communications Manager will plan and implement marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness across the Walder entities. The Marketing & Communications Manager will also play a key role in developing internal communications, including content and enhancements to the company intranet.

Key Responsibilities

The specific duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:
• Solicit and incorporate feedback to enhance the company intranet and ensure that it successfully unifies the various Walder organizations
• Collaborate with leadership of Walder organizations to populate news content for the company intranet
• Develop communications and marketing plans for each Walder program in consultation with Walder Institute leadership and VP of Communications
• Develop and manage Walder brands across multiple channels: websites, videos, media outreach, social media, email marketing, events and print
• Set up and update email marketing blasts and assist with segmentation
• Monitor, analyze and report on marketing data and trends
• Content development and creation: Write, edit and publish content for websites, social and digital channels, email newsletters and company intranet
• Manage and grow social media channels: develop content and monitor and track engagements; develop quarterly reports on the performance of digital channels
• Develop and oversee communications calendar
• Oversee, update, and maintain program websites

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following majors preferred: Marketing, Communications, PR, or related field or commensurate experience
• 3-5+ years marketing and communications experience preferred
• Outstanding communication, writing, and editing skills with experience crafting compelling content for web, email, and print
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPress and Mailchimp or other email marketing platforms
• Understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, and Facebook/LinkedIn Ads
• Good organizational, planning, and coordination skills
• Desire to take full ownership of assigned projects and take the initiative, utilizing creativity and discretion
• Work well independently and is self-motivated and detail-minded
• Proven ability to develop trusted relationships with colleagues and work cross-functionally with internal leaders and peers
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and re-prioritize as needed
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills; ability to clearly articulate project goals and requirements
• Comfort with digital communications platforms
• An outstanding storyteller with strong writing and editing skills, leadership capabilities and attention to detail
 Knowledge and understanding of cultural norms within the Orthodox Jewish community
 Basic working knowledge of written Hebrew
